Gabai Falls (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
The Gabai Falls are located in Hulu Langat (Kampung Sungai Lui) at the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. It is a popular attraction for the locals, but relatively unknown with tourists. A cemented path leads from the parking to the lower falls. Along the path several shelters have been built. The upper falls can be reached by trails.
The falls are located in a natural Dipterocarp forest reserve. Notable species include the leech Phytobdella catenifera.
To visit the Gabai Falls, first you have to go to Hulu Langat(Selangor), a place which can be reached from Cheras, Kuala Lumpur or Ampang. Next you follow the road to Kg Pangsun for about 7 km until Pekan Batu 18 where then you have to turn right to Kampung Jawa. After 6 km from there, you will see the signboard for the Sungai Gabai Falls. Turn left and follow the road until the carpark.
